How America is defined, what is included and what is left out, are central questions to my experience as a 1st generation mainland Puerto Rican. I brought in a McDonald's burger and fries in order to tell the history of the franchise as a symbol of American ingenuity and weave in a stories about a McDonald's that opened near my grandmother's house in Puerto Rico.
