Architecture and Kids!

While browsing the internet for information concerning teaching students the elements of architecture, I found this website, http://www.archkidecture.org/learn/. Many of the links are dead, though the active ones can help to provide a better understanding of what is appropriate for various age groups, how kids learn, and what elements of the lessons appeal to educators. While we clearly need to come up with original ideas for the final project, I figured that this site could be a reference and a so-called “jumping-off point.” My favorite of the links is http://www.k5architecture.org/Download_chpt.htm, as it provides lessons broken down by grade level, identifies learning goals, evaluation materials, and the time and materials necessary for each activity.

Hope this helps in the brainstorming!
