I would like to share with you the above site for the History Museum of Bergamo, in Bergamo Italy. Unfortunately the site is in Italian but if you go into Museo Storico-Eta Veneta you have two videos which explain the interactive technology used in the museum (again in Italian). In the short time that I had to visit this museum this past weekend, I was impressed with the use of digital interactive technology in a building which itself had a couple of levels of history. The bottom floor had the roman city excavated and cleaned which you could see through a glass floor, whereas the rest of the building including the tower dated to various periods from the medieval period. You could also climb the tower and get a breathtaking view of the old city of Bergamo. Italy is indeed packed with historical artifacts but the manner in which they packed both the visual artifacts and interactive history into this immensely delightful and not so big place provided me with a museum experience which very effectively took me back in time.
