Hello Everyone,
I was roaming aroung the internet and I came across with this interesting project http://www.michaelzheng.org/portfolio/four-on-one.html. Michael Zheng, as a conceptual artist, invites four curators to curate an artist’s performance in a garage. (The whole project is actually a part of “The Garage Bieneal” created by Zheng.)
I thought it was very interesting to see different curatorial decisions to present an artist and/or her work. In one of the exhibits, the artist was intoduced through her daily life whereas only one art piece of her was introduced to the audience in another exhibit by a different curator. I know we won’t be dealing with curation as we’ll already have a curatorial thesis to work on, but I still think that it is related to what we talked about last week about the bieneal and different curatorial choices.
See you tomorrow
Suay
